It can be played in its traditional form or converted into a single‑course Liuto Cantabile ( the equivalent to five course Cello), giving the musicians two distinct voices in one. The conversion process is simple and doesn’t require any special tools just switch the bone nut and saddle, both are not glued and will “click “ in place, then add or subtract the strings. This hand‑carved instrument has a well balance tone, it showcases both rich resonance and adaptability, making it a unique addition to the mandolin family.
