2026 Double Top Mandola $3300
For a short time, I’m covering all tariffs and offering free shipping to the United States, so it’s a great moment to order
A double‑top soundboard is a contemporary construction method that produces a top that is both lighter and more rigid. It’s made from two thin layers of tonewood with a core in between—most commonly Nomex, a lightweight carbon‑fiber honeycomb.
For a warmer, more natural tonal character, the Nomex can be replaced with a balsa‑wood core, which is the approach I use.
This design results in a soundboard that is exceptionally responsive and vibrant, offering greater projection and overall volume.
